Greg Netland

A former member of the Executive Board of Randstad Holding NV (May 2008 – April 2012), Mr. Netland was responsible for the Americas Zone including the US, Canada, and Mexico. He has over 30 years of staffing industry experience starting with Sapphire Technologies in 1987 where he played an integral role in transforming an $8 million IT staffing firm with one office into a $400 million IT staffing company with 40 offices nationwide. In 1994, Netland played a key role in the successful integration of Sapphire into Select Appointments (Holdings) Ltd., and again in 1999 when Select merged with Vedior NV. With the rapid advancement of technology and the introduction of Vendor Management Systems to the industry, Netland led the companies strategic response starting in the late 90’s with the establishment of a number of key business partnerships as well as the development of Global Managed Services (GMS) which he served as President from 2002 until 2007. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Vedior North America in 2002 and then again to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2003. In addition to growing organically, from 2005 to 2008 Netland led and completed 6 acquisitions adding over $500M in Revenues to the NA business, Netland was appointed to the Board of Management of Vedior NV in April 2007, and joined the Executive Board of Randstad Holding NV as part of its acquisition of Vedior in 2008. Netland continued in his role as CEO of the North American business and spearheaded the successful acquisition of SFN group, which combined with the Randstad business became the 3rd largest employment services company in North America with revenues of over $4 Billion. Netland transitioned out of Randstad in 2012 and now works as an independent advisor in Human Capital Management (HCM) and Employment Services to various Private Equity Firms and staffing companies. He also serves on the board of 6 Private Equity owned staffing firms. Netland received his BA in Economics with a Minor in Math from Bowdoin College in 1984. He has been active in many associations and user groups in the Staffing Industry and served as an independent director at Bullhorn Technologies from 2003-2008.
